My buddy Paul and I left Phoenix with one intention: We're finding a Pyro.

Off we went into the lush, green mountains of southern Arizona and these were our finds.

I had never been to this part of the state before, so most of these finds were lifers.

...it was definitely an amazing day. We also saw a Barn Owl, a Great Horned Owl, 2 Checkered Garters, and one Black-necked Garter.

Todd, I won't fail you next time!! Too bad your hockey tourney isn't held during monsoon time. That's when the herping ix phenomenal around here.

I just got home a couple hours ago (Austin) from San Diego, and drove through miles and miles of 'green' desert- you guys look like you've gotten a TON of rain this year!
