After an extended vacation...

...I'm finally back in town (sorta). So I have some computer time to come to kingsnake. wooo! Here's a brain teaser for you guys and gals- Roz and Hurley aren't eating. They're maybe taking one cricket a day, tops, and I'm getting teeny weeny little poops from them. Weird thing is that they are acting completely normal; active and maintaining their daily schedule, and do not apear to be losing weight at all. Most of you guys know Roz was just gravid during the breeding season and reabsorbed her eggs, so I was wondering if that had anything to do with her lack of desire to eat, but then that doesn't explain Hurley? (unless he's having sympathy pains, lol).
Any thoughts?

I'm afraid I'm not helpful in answering your question - I was actually planning to post a similar question today. Rorschach has been showing no interest in her food for the last two weeks or so. She is out and digging and basking, but only very rarely will eat anything. She is as fat as ever and doesn't look ill (dull or sunken eyes, etc). It's puzzling.

August to us and summer, it's getting towards fall to them, and they may be starting to sence the change coming, daylight is getting shorter already, I certainly have noticed. Your kids may be slowing their eating naturally!

Just keep an eye on them for any weight lose!

...I had thought about that but I thought it was wayyyy too early for them to slow eating. Good to know that everybody else is seeing a similar trend. Should I start shortening their daylight cycles, or just let em go for now?

Just a thought , as to the slow down, I don't know your kids , so I'm just tossing that out there I would not change anything right now. I would just be watchful

We're down in Miami, I may have picked him/her up in Satellite Beach a few hours north of us, but how bizarre that in all the places in my apartment a gecko can hide, it finds my tiny camera bag. House gecko eh? That explains why it didn't quite look like a baby mediterranean gecko...
