Birthdate Question...

oc-balls Aug 13, 2007 12:24 PM

How does everyone determine the birthdate of their babies?
Is it the day the first one slits the egg?
is it the day the last one leaves the egg?

I only had the three eggs - one pipped on the 7th, left the egg on the 9th.
The 2nd pipped on the 8th, and left the egg on the 10th.
And then the 3rd pipped on the 9th, and left the egg on the 11th.

So - what would you say their birthdate was?

Thanks,
Ken

Since I keep track of each individual snake I use the day each individual left the egg as their "birthday".

Otherwise, I generally just say they hatched in April (or June, or whatever) or simply state that they are "x" months old. If a person wants to know specifics it is on each snakes record.

Are you wondering for ad purposes? If so, just state that the snakes hatched in the "first week of August" or whatever the case may be. It'll give the potential buyer enough information to satisfy most people.
