Ok so I have my ball's tank set up right and i know it for sure, and he has eaten at all three feeding sessions with two fuzzies each time with no difficulty. He also ate one time for the petsmart people (I know they're horrible, but I got lucky so far). I have had him for about 2-1/2 weeks.
My question is:
With him eating that many times, shouldn't he be pooping soon?
Could he be constipated?
He isn't bloated or anything like that, he seems to be perfect other than the poopless streak.
What can I do to aid this process?

thanks,
Jacob

P.S. I feed him two fuzzies at each feeding because I go by the girth rule and two fuzzies is just about perfect.

Any help is appreciated.

You ever hear of a full cavity search? No im kidding dont do that i dont think your snake will like you very much after lol. I had this same concern when i first got my ball pythons he will poop when hes ready and you will know when he does. And as much as people like to rag on petsmart sometimes you will come across one where people know what they are doing and actually care for the animals. Its kind of like mcdonalds they cant all mess up your order everytime you know?

Thanks...How soon should I expect it though then?

Im not all that sure. My snakes usually do it withing a couple weeks of their meal but i guess it might also depend on how much they are getting from it i would think the more nutrients and all that they try to get from their meals the longer they will be holdin on to them. As long as he is not bloated and still has a appetite i wouldnt worry about it too much but thats just my opinion. Im no expert but i have been keeping balls for about 6-7 years now i wouldnt worry but there are also alot of other people who know more than me anyone else have any imput on this matter?

My snakes usually go within a week or so from feeding. Could be a couple of weeks. You may also want to check the substrate, sometimes what could happen is that it gets buried under the substrate. Hope that helps. Good luck.

I'm not sure how big your snake is or if you are feeding rat or mouse fuzzys - but fuzzys (of either sort) aren't much of a meal for a ball even a hatchling - perhaps it's not pooping cause it doesn't have a lot of left over byproducts.

Other than that - it will poop when it has to.

JET Pythons

(CJBianco explaining the origins of the BP market.)
"In the beginning Bob created the Ball Python market. And the market was without morph, and wild traits were upon the industry. And Bob said, Let there be morph, and there was morph. And Bob saw the morph, that it was good; and Bob divided the morph from the wild trait. And Bob called the morph Albino, and the wild trait Normal. And the Albino and the Heterozygous Albino were the first investment.

Ok thank you all. I appreciate it.

Most of mine poop every 4-5 weeks -- and as someone mentioned, without fail when they shed every 2-3 months. Snakes have slow digestive systems, it takes them quite awhile to process their prey and they use almost all of it.
