I'm just wondering why this "group" has not moved over to yahoogroups. They have all sorts of nice features.
Don't take me wrong, this is a fine place... It just seems a bit limiting for photos, and polls, and general organization.

Many of us have been here for years.... share all kinds of critter talk, and photos and help each other, and anyone else who needs it. We bring ya right in and immediately YOU BELONG and your lizards.
(Sometimes it's slow, but RATTLE THE CAGE, hehehhee and they appear if needed.
We enjoy talking about our chucks, as well as many other deserty species here, each of us owns or has owned many species over the years, so there is much knowledge among us, as well as respect/caring for each others thoughts , ideas, observations, and feelings.
** But most importantly , we certainly go elsewhere also and find and share lizard info,(geesh I'm all over the place) but here is where we come and stay when we... "REALLY need advice with a TOUCH of SOUL" , and know the people we are speaking with truely care, know our animals names, or have seen them many times, shared stories about major events in our life, even about our human families
So I guess that's the best answer I can come up with, these people and new people that come in and stay, are the....

Unfortunately both my Chucks are looking like they might not survive
But I will stick around, as I plan to eventually get set up to breed S. Varius, S. Hispidus, and S. Ater... Possibly even try some crosses. Maybe within the next year.
S. Hispidus will probably be my first venture into breeding, but I'm also thinking about Galapagos Tortoises & Aldabra Tortoises.
Not really too sure yet... Probably Chucks.

"There's a Chucker born every second". (Isn't that how the saying goes?)
I found about this forum from friend who has a chuck. Endless google searches never yielded this site!!! It isn't easy to find but it is an awesome source of info. That said, check out Bluetongueskinks.net! That site has an indepth caresheet, forum, and anything else you could ever want---about another "less common" reptile. I have been taking notes on everything "chucky" in this forum but I just wanted you to see what is out there. After all, the reason we are here is to become informed owners---and have a little fun while we do it! The people here are the main thing though---ya'll are AWESOME!
