Here is a picture of my original VPI male from 2004 on the left. On the right is one of his 2006 babies, and in the foreground is one of his 2007 babies. I hope this gives you an idea of how they age.
Here is a pic of some Axanthics that we hatched out last year with a Het Female sibling to show the contrast.
