Only reason I suggested that is BigTank is the only poster on this forum I know that keeps crocodilians and thats a caiman. Its a long shot trying to get pictures on this forum. I suggest you peruse the photo gallery under crocodilians or google images. That would probably be your best bet. Keep in mind most good enclosures are maintained by Zoo's.

Here are some photos of an alligator enclosure with a cypress swamp theme, which I designed and built for an animal education exhibit here in New York this past June. It houses a 3' juvenile American Alligator. The dimensions of this enclosure are 8' wide x 4' tall x 5' deep.

Because this is only a temporary exhibit, running from June to January, part of the challenge in designing this exhibit was keeping this temporariness in mind, knowing that this enclosure will have to be moved and placed somewhere else in the near future. Therefore, I constructed the enclosure to be made of two sections, which fit together sagitally. This makes each segment lightweight, and narrow enough to be carried and fit through a conventional household door ( ca. 30" ), if need be.

Here is a photo from before I started the interior fabrication work (trees, stumps, cypress knees, mudbank, etc.):

Awesome enclosure!

You must share, possibly in another thread, your construction techniques.

Thanks
