a guy at my work brought in two tiny little snakes he caught at his house. i'm in scottsdale, arizona which is a little north of phoenix. they're both about the size of worms currently so i'm guessing they are newborns. they're less than pencil width, i'd say about the width of a mealworm. both snakes are 2-3 inches. they are pink in color and have black heads.

any info would be great so i can convince this guy to let them go. thanks.

More than likely, they are Plains black-headed snakes (Tantilla nigriceps).
