Today's Arrivals

run26neys Aug 15, 2007 10:42 AM

I received three more brb's today. I am in need of some females, but had to buy a male to get 2 females. The good news is that the male is very nice and hopefully will develop a good red color.

First pic is a female

Second pic a female - she is dull and in shed

Third pic is the male

I feel I could still use 4 to 5 really nice females this year. Plus, I will probably try to get some more hets.

I figure that in a year or two, I will see which one's develop the best coloring, and sell some of the others. The one's I will sell off will still be nice animals, so it should not be a problem to sell them fairly easily.

Since none of my animals are old enough to breed, I am buying as if I were holding back some to see how they develop before deciding if they will become a long term breeder for me.

Are the females just light colored? Or are they something special?

The female in the second pics is in shed and it appears that she is lighter.

I bought these animals as they should get more red as they develop. The nice red and orange BRB's develop their coloring as they age. Thus, I am buying several animals hoping one or more turn out to be something special.

Close - these came from the ad here on KS. Mama was from you and daddy is probably from BH or a slight chance of daddy is from Howard Leong.

I figured they have the genetics to be really good, so now I wait until they start to get their color.
