I can't tell for sure but it looks like it has two "hinges" on the plastron. I can see one for sure, the other is hard to tell. Because it looks aquatic and has two hinges I would say its a mud turtle (Kinosternon). If it only has one "hinge" then it should be a musk turtle (Sternotherus) This is really just a guess, it would probably depend on where the turtle was found. I'm not mush of a help outside of the states.

yeah, box turtles also have the hinges. From the picture it looks sort of aquatic. Another angle would help a lot.
