New pic of one of my blonde females.I raised this one from a yearling. She was in with the male a few days a week since the middle of june.I did not see any cops at all, though I did see him biting on to her.She has just shed, but does not seem gravid. He shows even less interest in her after shedding.Last year she dropped 11 slugs and by now showed very obvious signs of being gravid(swollen, spread scales)
I saw him hooked up with the new girl I got and she is in the blue right now and I think I can feel a few eggs in her,but this girl here has me stumped.I have given her a laying box just in case.

The male.

Some of my females are laying more than a month later than last year. Last year, the last clutch was deposited on Aug. 2nd. As of right now, I have four females still gravid. I've got about the same # of clutches in the incubator right now, and one was laid yesterday.

Just a strange year.

They are laying more than a month later? Were the copulation dates close to the same as last years for your snakes? The one I saw my male breed was one day later than last years observed copulation.I guess I will just keep an eye on my girls and keep a laying box in for both and time will tell.
Also Dusty,do you or have you bred one male to multiple females?

As far as copulation dates, they were about the same as last year's. I often don't see when they copulate, but I usually see courting...you know, sometimes I see the blue lights of a movie flashing on the snake room walls, smell champagne, and hear martini music coming from the cages. LOL

I typically breed one male to several females. I'm going to try my darndest to avoid that as much as possible in the future.
