my pet long tailed grass lizard Layla just had an egg that i found and i picked it up but i put it down were it was again i need to know what to do for best chances of eggs survival please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me!!!

Was she with a male recently?
More than likely the egg is a dud and will not produce anything worth incubating.
