B.c. sabogae geographic range question

gretzkyrh4 Aug 15, 2007 09:58 PM

Hi everyone,
I don't believe I've posted on this forum before, but thought this might be the best area to ask my question. What I am interested in is any info on whether the B.c. sabogae is on all the islands of the Pearl Islands Archipeligo (Panama) or if BCIs might be found in certain parts of the archipeligo.

I am curious, because my girlfriend who is currently in the archipeligo doing sea turtle research saved a boa from some local children earlier today and her description sounded more like a BCI to me than a sabogae. Its possible her description was just inaccurate, but in case it isn't I just thought I'd check with you guys. I should have the pics of it from her by the weekend and will post those as well once I receive them.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Here is some info that might help you out from Vin Russo's site. When you get pics definately post them.

Thanks for the link. I'll have to try and pull up some of the articles he cited to help me out.

And on an unrelated but interesting note, the animal in the top image link (by mario urriola) at the bottom of that page was actually found while the photographer was placing snakes for an episode of survivor.
