quesion about hets

bigdee Aug 15, 2007 10:15 PM

Just need some of your opinions. I have one albino and 12 het albino boas born 5/24/07 both parents are hets, I also have a almost breedable 1. het pied male and 4 norm female balls. Would it be a good idea to trade the boa litter for a het pied female ball for my male? Also would this be an good even exchange? I do have the het boa parents but I cant afford to purchase a het pied female ball

Well, I'm no expert, but that doesn't sound like an even trade at all to me. I'd trade 13 snakes for an actual Pied Ball, but not for a Het. Maybe a pair (your albino boa, paired with an opposite sex het), I personally feel would be worth a Het Female Pied.

Someone might know better than me, however.

IF you bred 2 het for amel boas.......and got 12 normal colored and one albino........the normals are 66% possible het for amel......not het for amel (guarentted 100%)..

......not sure what a het boas' worth......but pieds running around $3500 more and less right now....

......albino boas dropped this year around here.....

......I passed on $400 ones......

Well a Het Pied Female is going to run you roughly 500(a baby), Im not sure if your going to be able to find someone letting a breeding size het pied female this close to breeding season go though, I could be wrong though. Or if you find someone wanting to get into Boa's you may be able to trade. Your best bet is put your boa's in the classifieds in the Boa Constrictor Classifieds. Good Luck.
