Those are some very nice banded cal kings Aubrey, congratulations!

I seriously considered getting into some similar to yours when looking at kings but ended up going with thayeri because i do not want to hassle with the local permiting for native species at this point.

Once again great looking babies.

Sean.

Thank you Jeff! Well, I'm all moved in to the new place, now its just the daunting task of unpacking. Slowly the place is looking more like a home and less like box mountain!

Hey Aubrey, Those are nice looking kings. I like the last two shots. "Stay away, I'll get ya if you come too close". It's neat that they get that defensive right out of the shell.

Why on earth would you want to 'ruin' such gorgeous little kings with albino? They're perfect just like they are! LOL! I've been wanting a 50/50 cal king for years, don't know why I haven't gotten one yet.

waspinator421 Aug 16, 2007 11:06 PM

"Ruin"? Personally I think the albinos are beautiful, but I know that some people love the natural looks of some species.

The father of this clutch was a really nice 50/50, but I have since let him go. It was really hard to do so, but I wanted to focus more on Thayeri and decided to only have one pair of Cal Kings.

One of my boas cage - BCI Amber. Except it's more of a KAWUMP then a lil tap. Got tired of it and gave her a couple extra rats and funny, she settled down to digest them and not another KAWUMP since. At least not till she finishes digesting, then I expect she'll be back to her KAWUMPING the cage every time I pass until I give her another monster meal!!!!

She's fine with being handled. I don't know that she'd be different at feeding time, I already decided not to test those waters.

Aubrey those things look dirty so I suggest you give them a bath that goo coming out of the egg is creepy looking but eggs hatching is an awesome sight and I'm glad you were part of it so you could share it with us

Thank you Mike! The ratio that I have as of now is 8.4, so not the most ideal. The 4 "females" I have yet to confirm by probing. There is one female that has a perfect wishbone shape on her head.... kinda neat!
