I was just wondering if anyone has a successful exterior setup for their tortoises in southern Fl. I live in Miami and the rain has just been terrible. I have been nursing my sulcata back from a little cold. It seems no matter what I do he likes to wander in the rain and he gets himself in bad places when it starts to pour. It's funny, he doesn't particularly like to be soaked, but he won't stay in when it rains. I have setup a great enclosure, he stays there all day when its nice out.
He would be brilliant if he wern't so stupid. I love him to death, but he makes me nervous. I get up every night at 3am and track out through the yard to check on him. I'm thinking of making a second home for him, a hobbit hole ala bilbo baggins. He is so spoiled
Anyway two questions:
Does anyone have tortoises that won't stay undercover in their enclosure when it rains. any solutions.
Any good solutions of exterior housing. (actually I just like seeing pictures)
thanks
