Vision CB 70 Rack Heating Pics Please

SPJ01 Aug 16, 2007 10:08 PM

How do you have the heat cable set up on your vision racks?
Anyone run into a problem where they ran out of cable to set it up correctly? How can the pictures on the site show so much cable on a shelf but you really only get one loop per shelf?
Any pictures, tips would be great.
Thanks.

I ran into problems with temperature setting even though I have a helix thermostat. If you run out of cable, Just use a second set of cable. Begin it where the first one ran out, just remember to not use the 2 foot cold lead. I do not have pics, but I learned alot about it because of the problems I had. Not to knock the vision rack because it is awesome. I absolutly love it. If you have any questions, you can email me. Good luck

If you're using the 54 ft cable, there should be enough for at least a couple of loops on each level. I have 2 cb-70 racks hooked up to a helix, and they are maintaining an 81-86 degree gradient in the tubs quite well.

Here's how I have mine run:

This way you use the whole cable on the rack. For my bigger girls I run the cable (in the same pattern) but up to the top (white line in picture) to make a larger warm spot for them - but need to add an extra 10 foot piece to do this.

JET Pythons

(CJBianco explaining the origins of the BP market.)
"In the beginning Bob created the Ball Python market. And the market was without morph, and wild traits were upon the industry. And Bob said, Let there be morph, and there was morph. And Bob saw the morph, that it was good; and Bob divided the morph from the wild trait. And Bob called the morph Albino, and the wild trait Normal. And the Albino and the Heterozygous Albino were the first investment.
