I picked this snake up from a friend and still cannot figure out what species it is. Perhaps an American Rat integrade. That's what has been suggested to me. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Yes, likely some kind of rat snake intergrade . . . maybe some corn in there as well?
looks like it might have some pit in it as well. ANy info on where it was found?
Ready for this? It was sold at a flea market to a friend of a friend as a Ball Python! Took a while to stop laughing when I saw it. Not even close, buddy!
The scales and face say Bull/Gopher snake to me. Wonder what else it's crossed with?

Looks like a Fox Snake to me.
the head does kind of strike me like that of a bullsnake. could be a hybrid maybe?
That was my original guess.
The body looks like a texas rat with a prairie kingsnake head. Who knows? Kevin
well gee...thanks....I think...LOL
Definately looks like it has some fox snake in it...but the head looks a little different. Probably a hybrid fox snake with...?
