Black Milks???

zach_whitman Aug 17, 2007 02:36 AM

I have been keeping my eyes on the classifieds, some expos, and on the forums for some 07's but haven't come across any.

Anyone here working with these this year?

Black Milks tend to breed a bit later than the other's. My female is due to lay her first clutch of eggs in the next week or so. Actually, i just put a lay box in with her last night. So, babies will be around in October/November for me...

Zach:

I'm not sure if black milks are always a little later than other milks, but mine certainly were this year. I have two clutches of 13 eggs (26 total) in the incubator now. One clutch was laid on July 29 and the other on Aug. 4 so I don't expect to have hatchlings ready until mid-October. Send me an e-mail if you want to get on the list.

For me, blacks have always bred a little later in the year...seems like after the female's second shed. Eggs usually hatch around mid to late september. I'm sure you'll see ads soon for them.

I just got back from Daytona and didn't see any 07 black milks on anyone's table.
