Just got back from the field to a full incubator of patternless bulls. Looks like I ended up with three albino patternless, three normal patternless, two pure white bulls(not sure if they are whitesided albino patternless or axanthic albino patternless or a combo of both) and an axanthic patternless. This was from a patternless het albino, whitesided, poss axanthic female with an albino patternless het whitesided. At least that is what I thought when I bred them. Now it appears that my female is proven for axanthic and my male is as well, despite not having a clue he could be het axanthic. One of the normal patternless also appears much lighter than the other two, possibly hypo patternless? With all of the crosses that Ballam did initially I guess it makes sense that there are genes there that I didn't know about. It will be interesting to figure exactly what is going on with this clutch. It is always nice to find something unexpected in a clutch, especially when it is an axanthic patternless!! Sorry for the rambling, it is late and I am excited. Pics are below!
