ok this is really bothering me cricktes and worms

kurma Aug 20, 2003 09:54 AM

So I can't get seen by the vet before the 30th which is ok I can wait, my male seems to be doign ok and eatting. Ate crikets last night but I got the others to switch already he is more stubborn. So if he does have worms and gets treated wouldn't it be very stupid of me to use crickets still? I mean thats the cause so why do people use them?

I use crickets because there are times when my leos will not anything but yet I will throw a cricket in and they will eat it. The seem to like variety. You have a good chance of geating healthy crickets when you get them from a good business compared to a pet shop and so on. Just to some checkups on the business and everything should be ok.

For 4-5 months Peggie wouldn’t eat anything but de-legged crix. Only recently I have been able to get her to eat mealworms. But she will spit it out if the mealworm has not molted recently (the soft white ones). I don’t mind the extra work it takes to feed her, I’m just glad she's growing and healthy.

Here is a pic of her:
