Wow. Awesome vanishing pattern tri-color hypo. Yeah, I'd keep it too.
Rob
I think you should send me it. You can always produce another next year.
WOW.. very nice looking hatchling!!

yes, thats a keeper for sure. This keeper will go for me next year and she is 100% anery as well.
Shannon
You should just send it to me, for proper disposal.....

You definitely have a sweet tooth problem. Find out how many kids your dentist is putting through college before you sit in that big chair of his.
This hondo thing definitely qualifies for the space program.
Hope to get "spaced" out myself if any surprises show up here.
Mike
Nice snake! What is that grid like stuff on the perlite and where do you get it?

Hey, I'd like to know about that grate also. Also, how do you use it? Do you put the eggs on top of it? Outstanding snake! Thanks, Derek
I have seen many people use it with ball python eggs. Its just to keep the eggs out of the substrate. I have seen it at the hardware store but never tried it cause I have good luck without it and hate to change something that isn't broken.
Shannon
Certainly no need to change what you are using... seems like you have it down to a science

The grating is called florescent light grading or egg crate. I buy mine at Home Depot.
The perlite is totally saturated in water and I mean saturated... the eggs sit on top of the substrate and never come into contact with the perlite or water however they still remain in 100% humidity
Works great for me... I cook ball python eggs the same way
One thing to keep in mind though is to put a little bit of moist moss on the top of the egg pyramid to keep the top eggs from drying out but be sure it isn't soaking water up from the substrate!

“There is a grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one; and that whilst this planet has gone on cycling according to the fixed laws of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being, evolved.” -C. Darwin, 1859
I tell you what!! I thought I saw some nice Hondo in Daytona, but you sure have a looker as well as a keeper. If you get tired of looking at it send it my way.
Good Luck
Tom
