I tried to get my boss (who happens to also be my boyfriend) to let me go this year, but noooo "maybe next year" he says. I thought he would be all excited to just shut down and go to daytona. (our first real date was the denver reptile show.)

Russ,
...You are making out good. I saw the Incredible Pets people all working hard setting up that big display. You can walk in tomorrow after they have done all the work.

I did not see a lot of Rainbow Boas today. Be sure to check out the yearling Hypos that Celia and Shawn have at the Exotics By Nature table. Eugene Bessettte of Ophiological Services had nice normal baby BRBs. Tom Davis has some yearling BRBs and two very interesting looking adult males including the hypo looking one that Tom Crutchfield had advertised in the classifieds here a couple months back. I did see one CRB for sale but I forgot which vendor had it. Many more vendors should have animals out on their tables tomorrow so there will surely be more Rainbows to see.

Dave,
..I think I remember their prices for the babies they had out were around the same as Celia's price for yearlings which was $4000 for females and $5000 for males. East bay had hets for $500 and $1000. John from East Bay has shown young adult hypos at previous Daytona shows but I only saw babies on the table there saturday afternoon.

Saturday was a good day. Crowds were fairly large and sales were pretty good. The bad news is there are not too many Rainbow Boas at the show. I did talk to David Fabius from Uraguay about importing some crassus. I will look into the logistics of doing this and then check in here on the forum to see if there are enough people who would like to buy them to make it doable.I got to meet several forum buddies for the first time though I did not yet see Russ. I was too busy at my table to spend much time looking at other vendors tables. I will check in at Incredible Pets tomorrow. My old friend Carl Betz is finally totally retired from the Navy and is now working in the herpetology departmant at Jax Zoo. He still has his Colombian Rainbow Boa he got 27 years ago.
