is freezing mice in a ziploc container ok ? or ...

you should freeze them in anything that provides an air-tight seal, and will not crack/break by being frozen.

I spread them out on an old cookie sheet, put that in the freezer, and bag the rodents the next day. IMHO, they freeze quicker that way than if several are in a bag together.
