One cause of regurge can be parasites. I would get a fecal done to rule that out. Another cause can be that the food item was not thawed out enough.

Also, did you ahndle him after he ate? This can cause them to regurg. they need to be left alone to digest or they often regurg.

Mine had a series of regurges in May. Always happened late on cold nights, so I figured that what was happening was she was sleeping someplace too cool while digesting. So what I did was I put a small heat pad at each end of the tank, with a rheostat to keep them from being too much of a good thing, and made the substrate deeper so she could still find a cool spot near the middle top if she needed it. But besides the easy-to-find warm spots (since they were at the bottom of both ends)she also had the option of digging around and finding more moderate spots to sleep, and it seemed to work. She's been fine ever since.
Don't try that trick without the power turned way down, though, or without a lot of bedding. Two heat pads at full warmth is far too much heat by the time it spreads all over the glass. Even now that I've moved her into a 36X18 I play it safe and keep them low. It's not even fear of burns. Honestly, those aren't very likely. It's more that if you give them too much heat they'll seek out wherever they can get away from it, just so they can get a good night's sleep, and then if the room temperature drops you get pukage. (Unless of course, they can't get away, which is even worse.) I'd rather have her using a lot of enough than very little of too much, if that makes any sense.
