No Females in these parts

stevereecy Aug 19, 2007 12:34 PM

Hey all,

Well, after keeping my two collards for a while, I finally figured out that my "female" was really a male because it just kept getting bigger and bigger and now looks more masculine than my male.

So, I need a female, and I sent a buddy of mine to the Daytona show and he didn't see any at the show. I wanted to avoid the shipping costs since I'm in North Florida.

Ah well... Guess I'll just go mope in the corner or something...

Steve

Oh. That was an old picture. So is this one.

Are ya sure you have 2 males? The one on the left looks female, but again it's hard to really see in those pics, turn em upside down and check their vent area, look on my site at the sexing page, big pics easy to see the difference.

Pretty sure. I'll take an updated photo. The one that I thought was a female kept growing, and he's got dark speckles under his chin.

From your photo, looks like boys to me, but check the vent and femoral pores.
