i went to chicago reptile house the other day and i wasnt to impressed at all. maybe i was expecting to much i dont know it was a cool store tho they had like three stores in one seperated the reptiles fish and birds into like three diff rooms. but as far as fish go they had no fresh water fish at all only salt water and with the reptiles there geckos had half tails missing fingers the other reptile cages had poop all over them and there was a beardie in with the small geckos and about 15 burms in a what looked like 1756 sterlite container just not worth the trip and i dont thikn i will be doin buisiness with them they try to look good n clean and nice in photos i have seen but when i was there not what i expected at all. not a hell hole but not the best

Dude, I hear ya. I worked for a reptile importer for a short time and I've seen animals cramped and sick. It was a sad situation. Needless to say I didn't last long.

You just got to know who your buying from before you part with the cash.

That sucks Tim just imagine all saltwater fish-tangs and angelfish oooohlaaaaalaaaaaaahhhhhhhh oh yeah and live rock and anenomes too sucks for the other pets unfortunately though

yes bob salt water is nice but you have to have some fresh water cmon now its a pet store lol and the freshies can be pretty too you know and these are by far even close to all the fish i have they just keep breeding lol almost all the babies get fed to other fish tho



this guy looks 10000 times better in person a lil over a foot and mean as all heck kills anythign that goes in tank with him

coral beauties and maroon clowns j/k I like all fish if they are pretty (can I say that word and not be frowned upon here lol) I don't care for lionfish cuz they look like crb's lol I'm going to hell but I do like all the rainbows though Scott even yours and Tim123456 lol I know that's not right but hey I tried. TimS at over 12 inches that thing is a monster-what do you feed that beast?

jumbo stix other fish the pleco it decided to eat lol anythign that goes in the tank it eats lol

I haven't been there yet, but have heard similar things. Makes me consider opening my own reptile shop here in chicago.
