I've got the same problem, my only solution, smack them lol. Luckily I've stopped keeping geckos, so I have no need for insects, hopefully I won't bring in any more with my worms.

I have the same problem with knats.

Anyone have a solution to get rid of them. I bought this sticky paper for knats and its the last place they go. They just about sit on anything but it.

well you know they like old juicy pinkies.i took a bread bag put some paper litter and juicy pinks overnight and in the morning quikly seal it and voila a bag full of drosophila type gnats with the taste for blood.
now i need to make sure they arent multipling at night in the bag but i think the pupate into larvae first,
no i didnt say palpitate as in heart rythem or palpate as if to massage.

hey rainer had a blast in daytona and it was nice to finally meet you and tom.....sorry about you know what ask tom
but seriously if you put out a shot glass of whiskey or rum the gnats will swarm and drown just change out the shot every day it needs to be fresh for them to be attracted to it. i use about a 1/4 shot no need to waste too much alcohol.....lol
im leaving to go bak home in about 2 hours so ill talk too you guys later

and. granular blue fly bait,a small square of bread and saturate with Budweiser...i would do this in the concave of an upside down beer can and place on paper or plate to collect the spinners............
if they only asked instead of always landing on the mouth of the can

Bluerosy Aug 21, 2007 12:40 PM

You guys are funny.

But seriosly I will try the shot glass. Only problem is I only drink the real expensive stuff. It will cost me like $7.00 a shot for the knats.
