i raised 3 tiger sals from waterdogs about a year and a half ago, one has survived and was eating voraciously up until last march when he went underground. i kept the terrarium moist and the corner "pond" full with water and had all but given up on him and figured i could put a few plants in the tank and make it a decoration! there was never any smell- like something decomposing. well- last weekend i woke up to the dirt somewhat heaped up and there was a lot of sediment in the otherwise clean "pond". if he is still kicking- wouldnt he be out begging for food? ive had tigers when i was young but theyve never been so "secretive".
