SPECTER / HET SUPER STRIPE MOM * PICS *

JaredHorenstein Aug 19, 2007 09:08 PM

Ok....so there seems to be some mis-information being passed around here, so Iam going to do what I feel is right and make it very clear for everyone to see what I am working with.....since secrets seem to screw things up....no more secrets...

This is the original Super Stripe Mom...as you can see she has an abbarent gold stripe.

Here is her 2004 F1 Specter son

Hey Jared, thats a very honorable and unselfish act showing us your "trade secrets"... over the last few years, both you (and Amir) have done wonders for the YB market and produced some awesome morphs ... thanks for sharing these photos with us all.

cheers, John

John,

You have had a specter ball on your website for a couple of years now. Right? You named it, Published it or introduced it. i dont think it is a het for superstripe(yes i own several, BHB line) Whats up with Jared taking your Specter Name???
Jared talks about wanting to prove everything out, give me a break. He just didnt want anyone else to find a female Het for superstripe in their collection and produce with it. And if he knew what was going on all along why not breed a male het for superstripe back(how many F2,F3,F4 does he claim to have?) to an adult yellowbelly female?? Jared's STORY doesnt add up...sorry

crystal ball project. Keep things secret so you can make as much money as possible and no one else can get into it without going thru you (even if they already have the needed animal and don't know it).

It's all about the money. Not about determining what makes what.

It disgusts me when I see that people are keeping 1/2 the piece of the puzzle secret for years.

I feel that if you want to slap a name on something and bring it to market, then you better damn well be open and up front about what makes the animal the minute you decide to market the "new" morph.

You should not bring an animal to market only so you can cash in and keep secret what is needed to produce it.

It sounds like someone got upset becuase another individual let "the cat out of the bag" on how to produce something and one person isn't cornering the market anymore.

Yes, I have been using the name "Specter Ball" as a synonym for a "unproven line" of Phantoms ... its not a big deal though as not many people knew my project and I haven't had a male until this year to breed back to prove them out ... so, yes, I have been using the name, no, they have nothing to do with the Super Stripe project.

Jared, being the gentleman he is, as soon as he saw this post, has emailed me and we will figure it, no problem.

cheers, John
