Tattoo Pete Immortalized

For those who couldn't make the reptile show in Daytona missed a Tell Hicks oil painting of legendary Tattoo Pete Gardiner. Tattoo was there in all his glory and did another great job as benefit auctioneer.

That painting looked like a photo when I first saw it. The detail is fantastic and the picture captures Pete's nutty personality perfectly.

Yep, same here.
I met Jack Wattley (the dicus king) a few years back at the Expo and spoke to him for quite a while. Had wanted to meet him for many years too.

For those of you that get Reptiles Magazine there is a writeup on the artist, Tell Hicks (a fantastic herp artist who's real tallent appears to be doing portraits) in the September issue. The featured painting... Tattoo Pete in all is glory... captured perfectly
