The reason I have the lease on him is due to the fact that he never wants to go back in his kennel. He will cruise around when I am working in the yard, letting me scratch him, feed him, ect., but he knows when its time to go back in, so when I steer him towards the kennel, he runs, and stays three feet in front of me. If I step towards him a foot, he crawls a foot ahead. So I just take the lease and gently lift him to the kennel as he wildly fights not to go back in. If I try to pick him up and put him in, he would scratch the hell out of me and he is as strong as hell too. Once in the kennel, he calms right down and lets me pet him. Weird lizard.

That first photo is 4 years old. This is a current one. He is even bigger now. I Does anyone know why blue is such a hard color to capture on film / digital?

LOL must be something about the lewisi DNA. Azul also thinks he's all that plus a bag a chips. It's like dealing with a 2 year old child. We have trouble capturing actual colors with him also and, when you do, it looks photoshopped. Regardles, Mark, you have some gorgeous animals. Is that male Caymanensis the one that beat up my little girl? Too bad her eggs were not fertile.

mark,
I had mine out too, finally some warm weather around here. I have the exact same problem with my rhino except he holds a grudge for about 2 days after. I have to drop a towel on him and he fights like hell not to go back in. Which Caymanensis is that? looks great, as do the rest. going to Anaheim?

man that pic is crazy doesnt he jet when u get close, does he ever go up the tree. man my rhino would be gone if i did that...inside hes tame as a kitten but in his outside cage in summer WATCH OUT.....

They are all a hair bit more flighty when out of the security of their cage, but they generally get used to it. They just don't like being put back in, and once they sense they are going back in, they scamper away from me, but don't do a "run for your life" bolt.
