new furniture

My beardie, Bailey, is getting big pretty fast and he will soon be ready for the new tank (125gal long). Where is a good place to look for new climbing perches and other furniture for him? His current favorite branch is getting too small for him and its a little sad to watch him try and squeeze into his old favorite sleeping place.

I was hoping to avoid driving to the White Plains show just for this.

He is aprox. 6 months old now and this pic was taken last month, he has grown more since then. The substrate is heavy duty paper towel. I have since added a larger and deeper water dish placed over the undertank heat and he enjoys a good soak every morning. The other side of the tank has a baking pan with play sand in it.

Thanks much.

Not sure if you feel like doing this but it is working out very well for me so far. It is a brick that i found and put in the cage. It works well because for whatever reason it is actually pretty lightweight and it sits on top of the sand so it doesn't affect the bottom of the cage. It also give my growing dragons a nice large spot to bask as well as 2 levels of places to hang out and an over-hang they can crawl under and burrow in to get outa the light and heat. It's hard to tell in the pic but it sits about 4 inches high. My dragons didn't spend much time if any at the top of their climbing stick so I beleive this height to be acceptable.

I used to check all the area pet stores in addition to the shows when looking for that perfect branch. Maybe you could try your local places.

Any more I have pretty much changed over to slate tiles on top of 1/2 logs. They retain heat better than wood and are easier to clean. Wood looks better though.

I think the dragons like the wood better too. But, one messy poop on wood and the only solution is to clean it outside with the hose. lol. Just too tough in the winter here.

Now I have too many dragons and consistancy works better for me anyway.
