coolest story ever. wow.
Already been posted and discussed. As wrong as the guy is for what he did, I still hate to see people get envenomated. I know there are a lot of people that post and say "he got what was coming to him" etc, but it is kinda sick to sit and get enjoyment out of someone else's misfortune, even if it was brought on themselves. The more people we can educate, the less and less this kind of thing will happen.
I agree. However, I did enjoy the story about the guy that shot himself in the foot when trying to shoot a snake. The great part of that was he saw the snake, left and went in the house, got a gun, and then shot himself in the foot when trying to shoot the snake.
That was a story I laughed quite a bit at. Now the story about the 5 year old kid that was shot by the police officer trying to shoot a snake out of a tree...that isn't funny, and it had nothing to do with the snake. It was a simple case of a cop trying to be a Hollywood macho man with his gun.
How?! A rattlesnake minding its own business gets its head chopped off, a person who is ignorant about rattlesnakes gets bit, and the conservation education messages for helping rattlers has once again been jeopardized.....doesn't sound too cool to me.

I didn't even have to look at the link but I knew of all these from reading the thread. All i can hope for is someone learned from these stupid "mistakes"
Nate
The ridiculous thing was that (in another article about this incident) the guy said he would kill a rattlesnake again if it found its way on his property. Ignorant.
.....the snake that does in fact wander onto his property. It never ceases to amaze me when people kill an animal for doing exactly what it does according to nature.
I'm just thankful that there are a lot of people out there like the very ones on this website that are so dedicated to educating the youth of this planet about them, rather than teaching fear and hatred.
My brother is terrified of all snakes, yet when he caught one in his garage, instead of killing it, he placed it in a bucket and called me. YAY!!! I showed up and released the little garter snake that had patroled his garage and proved to my niece and nephew again, that we don't have to kill that which we don't understand!
