Well, my girl finally popped and I woke up Saturday Morning to find a tub full of beautiful, teeth slashing little babies. There were 13 babies in total and no slugs for this first time girl, who was produced here back in March of '03. I went to bed around 9:30 the night before and got up at 3 am, so sometime in that timeframe she had started and completely finished dropping the entire litter. I'm also happy because my faith in my snake keeping abilities was boosted a little - I only knew that she was due sometime between mid August and mid September, but I had enough presence of mind to notice she had moved off the heat and had been prowling for most of the day, so I made sure to soak the cage that night to make sure none of the little ones had any problems sticking or drying out on the aspen substrate, if she in fact gave birth that night. Sure enough, a few short hours later I have a wonderful litter of amazons to play with. One orange baby, several yellows, a couple in between yellow/gold/brown babies, and handful of garden phase comprised the group. Anyway, enjoy the pics,

First, a pic of mom after finishing the deed:

And now onto the babies...
