Cage Setup?????

alex_reid33 Aug 20, 2007 11:28 PM

Hey im veyr excited to be getting my first ball python in a short while but i had a question abiout the cage setup. A satff member at the pet store told me that they are more arboreal and prefer an upright cage but all the research ive read has said more terrestrial and in a breeder tank. Can anybody please clarify and let me know what works with your pythons???

Yet another example of a pet store employee being an idiot. NEVER listen to those guys, they rarely if ever have a clue about reptiles. Ball pythons are terrestrial snakes that spend the vast majority of their time curled up in small rodent burrows and termite mounds.

Read this:

Good luck!
