are feisty little things. Bit me a second time, lol. No luck in feeding yet but it should be any time now. No rush. But they are very nice and look much better in good light (you know what I mean, lol). Talk with you soon.

I saw your reply about their lineage a couple weeks back. Thanks for the info. Not sure why the post was deleted though?

JKruse Aug 21, 2007 11:58 AM

Thank you! I think the deletion was because I had quoted someone directly by copying/pasting their message to me (thanks for the heads-up Mike). I sent an e-mail inquiring about that but no response. Oh well, the important thing is that you got my reply. I can't wait to see what the offspring look like as the sire is not too shabby either. Two more years to go....

... I just might have to change my mind about having a preference for reduced red. That is definitely eye catching.

of breeding all sorts of colubrid snakes, I finally got into alternas a little over a year ago. And I'm glad I did. Ya just can't beat the wide-orange/red, but then again, some of those others like Mike's alterna with nothing but light gray/silver (i'm blanking on the locality at the moment... Hueco Mtns?) are just awesome. I'm looking forward to adding some Black Gaps to my modest collection -- awesome locality in my opinion. Thanks for the kind words.

of blairi -- the top two are female and male W. Langtry, and the third is a Loma Alta (who needs to be re-photographed as she's grown tremendously since this photo of three months ago). I added some of Mike Russo's Christmas Mtn alternas to my gray band colony recently -- they're a must-have. Enjoy.
