That's one heck of a yoke!
YES, even I got a surprize when I saw the volume of yolk left.
The story goes like this......My Russians nearly always hatch at 60-65days.
Well this fellow was due on the 6th, (at the normal 60day incubation), however I will leave them till 65days & then take the chance of pipping them & touch wood "haven't lost a single one this way".
So on the 11th I pipped him & thought that I must have got my dates wrong but by cross ref I was correct.
He's now been sat upon his yolk, in an open tub within the incubator since the 11th till today (21st).
This is certainly the longest period which a tort of mine has sat upon it's sac.
As I write this, tonight it's shrunk by 50%, so I guess that by the w/e he'll be walking around.....phew!!
