Well, I couldn't hold back, was looking for something good so I "settled" on this adult pair of Mexican bairdi adults and a female from them. It was a great show and even got in a little Florida herping. No rats found so I will have to come back next year!

Did you find that diamondback over the weekend?
If so, that's pretty cool!

I haven't seen many Mexican Bairds, so I reckon that's a good project.

yes to both, I got out for 1 day and 2 half nights of cruising and came up with that bad girl, went to the show and came home with 1.2 mexican bairdi and a goini. what a blast!

I was thirsty for a gorgeous watersnake! Awesome find! Whereabouts were you?

Ten miles from Daytona beach on 92, Tiger Bay WMA. Pretty cool place, hiking, fishing, and herping! That little nasty got me about 10 times during the photo shoot, but it was a great looking Nerodia!

It was a lot of fun, wish I had more time to get to the Glades area, I was surprised to not see a corn aor or dor. I am lovin' the bairdi, what a great deal, I hope to produce some next year!

Todd, It's great that you got to go, and I'm jealous! Can't wait to see the offspring from your bairdi. Are you going to any Texas shows this year?

I passed on the Austin show, it was just too close, I needed a full week to get the colony back in order, I was a little hesitant to leave them but all was well except for a large T rat escaped and is cruising the house....somewhere!

I thought about the Austin show, but had too much to do, myself (also with the collection - funny how the snakes determine what we do!) Whoa! You have a big Texas rat loose in the house?! Man, my wife would be freakin'!

Nice find on the Eastern Daiamondback!
Mexican bairdi are a neat snake to work with too. Do you remember who you got them from?

Thanks! The bairdi are from John Schmitt at Suncoast Herpetological.
