Just got a new hypo

David2donna Aug 21, 2007 09:50 AM

Hello all, just wanted to tell everyone I have my first corn-a juvie hypo. Not trying to advertise, but I found a very nice petshop with MANY snakes and many, many corns in Nashville, Tn. at Hwy 70S. and Old Hickory.I will post pics when I get out the camera. Of course, it had to escape my sterlite shoe box, but I just took a small cardboard box and cut a hole in the side and made a funnel with a magazine cover and put in a pinkie, bedding, and water-he was waiting in there for me the next morning. They really are escape artists.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese in the trap!

Since I am new herper, problems with pet shop snakes? You prefer shows or online? I was thinking of a motley sunshine from South Mountain Reptiles, but will wait for cooler weather. I have seen some online from some of the big names in breeding corns. Would it be better to order from them? Thanks, David.

Don is a wonderfull guy to work with! Pet shops rarely take care of their animals. Shows are good because you can see the animals up close and handle them. You can also haggle a lot better at a show!
