how cold is to cold????

just wondering what temps u guys bring the rock iguans in at? me its 50degees ferenheit but anything below 60 i lock them in heated hut with pig blanket. ive seen some out in real cold weather. just seeing what others do?

I never bring my kids inside. I live in Miami so it's maybe only a month or so of low temps and it's usualy at night. But if it's in the low 60's or lower I'll turn on there heat mat inside there little iguana house so they can stay toasty warm.

sounds great u got it made down there, but what about the guys up north i read a story about a guy who has his rhinos in san franscio outside all yaer no extra heat.

That's crazy a rhino that can stand that and stay healthy is impressive.

I think thats a rumor. I don't know or have heard of anyone who keeps their cyclura out year round outside with no heat, unless they are talking about me, who lives south of San Fran and keeps his cyclura outside all year, but.......with heat. They have special built iguana heated sheds, thermostatically heat and timed light controlled.

I know a guy in Napa that keeps his cyclura and greens outside all year but like Mark he has a heated box they can retreat too. It will get below freezing there. I have seen them out for sun on a 50 degree day though.

now that i find interesting for i have seen mine out on cloudy 60degre day
