Woo Hoo Im Back!!!

badcompnay Aug 21, 2007 04:19 PM

Ok so Im back. Unfortunately Im here with a Stomac Flu!

Good news tho Ive been incredibly busy at work, never thought it would be good to say that, but Im doing what I love!

My BRB is great, even tho she still has that retained eye cap, yes it is a retained cap, after doing much research thats wut it is for sure. Ive tried several things to try and coax it to come off but nothing has worked. Im going to let nature take its course and wait till her next shed, if it doesnt come off then, a visit to the vet is in order.

The only thing that still has me worried is that she still has that wheeze going on. Ive come to the conclustion that it is temp related considering it gets to be 70 here at night im sure its not good for her upper respiratory system, blah.

Well mostly we get lots of cats and dogs, except this one time we got a really kool Fennec Fox...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fennec

Unfortunately these animals dont do very well with treatment. The story with this guy is his owner was holding him and he jumped right out of her arms, broke his carpus, which is essentially his ankle, we treated him basically with a orthopedic surgery : a plate and a few screws, a srugery pften done at our clinic. TWO WEEKS after being released he jumped out the owenrs arms yet again and broke his metacarpus which are his toes!!!! we treated him again only with a soft bandage and a splint. He stayed in the hospital for a total of 6 weeks before his owner could come home and pick him up.

These animals are essentially still wild. They dont take well to modern medicine and treatement at all.

Other than that they are really cute and surprisingly soft!
