This is my first attempt at wiring Flexwatt. I have it plugged into a dimmer. It's pretty straight forward but hey never can be too cautious.
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thank you,

Relax, it's easier than you think! You've got it figured out. The time to use caution is when controlling the flexwatt. As you've probably noticed by now, it gets HOT! So use your dimmer wisely and don't fry your pets!
yup, have used them before just always bought them pre-wired from a guy at a reptile show.. but now i'm out of that area so I had to do it myself.
Appreciate the feedback, just wanted to make sure.
Thanks again!

Looks good Dragon. When I wire mine I solder the wire to each lug after I have crimped the lug onto the wire. The I fill the small cavity in the plastic with silicon rubber sealant. Just a little extra work but I think it will make the connection last longer especally if the flexwatt gets moved like mine does.
that's a good idea.. maybe I will try doing that as well. Hopefully mine won't get moved much, but you can never be too careful I don't think!
Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it!

Sorry about that... I had the flexwatt pictures labled as 1.jpg 2.jpg and 3.jpg and long story short, after a few days I posted some new pics of our dragons in the dragon forum and labled them 1, 2, and 3 not thinking about this post.
Sorry about that! Thanks for trying to help though, I appreciate that.

IF someone sold that thing in your hand and told you it was flex-watt, you have been swindled!
hehhehe
Hey, but if you are going to wire some electricity to it, here is a tip: The red line is the positive and the black line is the negative! !!
Here is what real flex watt looks like:
(p.s. Just trying to have some fun with ya! hope you don't take it the wrong way).

All joking aside:
According to boaphile, the proper way to clip the flexwatt with clips is with a $100 crimping tool. Since I don't have a tool, I jsut decided to use solder.
Here is a link to the thread that I once posted about soldering flexwatt. It has detailed instructions on how I soldered.
enjoy.

click on that blue line and you will see my flexwatt and also an explanation of how I soldered.
