Yellow stripe...

JenHarrison Aug 21, 2007 11:52 PM

I'll try it again...if there's a problem with this, E-MAIL ME before/after you delete it (although I don't get why).

This girl came from Rich Macias -- she was the only surviving egg in a 2003 clutch from two yellow striped parents. No idea if her coloration and striping is a fluke due to being the only egg to make it, or if it really was passed on from her parents. Only time will tell. Despite being CBB, she's been a picky feeder since hatching, only feeding very sporadically on live mice and barely breaking past the 900g mark even at 3 years of age when I got her last summer. For the first 7 months I had her, she refused to eat anything at all. I then tried her on African rats and found that she eats them with gusto, so she is now at 1100g and if she keeps eating well on them, should finally be up to size by this fall at 4 years old. I plan to put her with my mojave male and hope for some neat looking babies.

This is her with the mojave:

And this is her with the two lightest normal females I own:

She's definitely one of my favorites!

having the balls to try something, and having the balls to do anything, are two separate things!

Best of luck on that one. Does she look hypo in person?

I eat human infants. They, like everything else, taste like chicken. What?

She's just bright yellow and deep black. Her sheds are colored so she's definitely not a hypo.
