The photo you showed was a pic of a great green iguana. these are land iguanas: Land Iguana
I am not to sure you can buy them
That looks like Iguana delicatissima from the lesser Antilles. I have never seem them available in the pet trade. Very beautiful lizard.
Its a green ig from Saba I think. "Great Green Iguana"?
Jif, I dont think its a Deli because it has the large scale under the ear(sub-tympanum?), Deli's dont. I am pretty sure these greens are protected.
Joel, thanks for the correction. I rushed and was only paying attention to the coloration, didn't even notice the scale pattern or anything else. DOH!
That is definitely not I. dellicutissma[ not sure of spelling]. I've seen similar lizards on St. Lucia and Dominica in the Lesser Antilles.thanks......TC
That is the famous and very rare
mohawkus iguana punkrockii
That is one bad@$$ crest!

It is a green iguana (iguana iguana). We have the magazine "Iguana" from the IRCF that has a picture of one with that coloration (was then known as the ISS). A Saban iguana near the Lesser Antiles like somebody mentioned. He looks like our Cuetzpallin we rescued.
