Sub- Oc eggs

mingdurga Aug 22, 2007 08:18 AM

Have not bred these guys in over 15 years, so it's nice to get back in the swing. Personality wise they're super.
Purchased them as babies, het for blonde, over 5 years ago. It'll be a long wait to see if blondes appear; a very long wait.

First pix shows the female with 9 eggs and 1 slug. A tenth egg showed up when she exited the nest box. They all lit up fertile.

Enjoy the pix.

Mike

10 eggs = 258 grams total.
pre-egg shed 8/3; eggs laid 8/21; Last meal was 7/1

Very nice. Good luck. I'm waiting on two females to drop now.

Congrats. Mike. One of my females is 3 days past pre-lay shed and today I was able to feel that she is for sure carrying eggs.
The other female shed a week ago,but I can't feel any eggs in her and did not see the male breeding with her.I just hope to get a few good eggs.I been wanting to produce these for a long time.Mine will be het. for blonde unless the male is an unknown het. which would be a nice suprise.Good luck and post pics of them babys when they hatch.
