Updates with pics. Forum and O/T

Hello all,
Well I’m back from my honeymoon, back to work, the computer and more importantly the snake room. I thought I’d share a few updated pictures of recent litters and a couple of new things.

First up are two of the rainbows from the litter at the end of June. Since these two are in my opinion, good looking, and they are two of the most recent to shed, they got the photo op even though they didn’t care to cooperate with me. I can’t decide if I like the rainbows on the dark or light background better so I put the lighter animal on the dark background and vice versa for contrast.

This next shot is of a group of three from my het leopard X het leopard litter last month. There is one leopard, a possible het with an abberant pattern and one with a normal pattern and light coloration. It’s a poor pic but a good representation of the variety in the litter. The little leopards are neat, I love the dark eyes and pattern. They also have a real pink belly and chin compared to the others.

Also, right now is the beginning of rosy boa season for me. Fortunately the babies decided to wait until I was back from the honeymoon before popping out. I have had two litters since Saturday. You may remember the breeding picks of the parents that I posted earlier in the year as an off-topic Tuesday post.

The first litter, born Saturday night is from a White Water het albino to a normal White Water female.

The second, I came home to on Monday, is my first ever litter of hypo/ghost rosys and hets. The father is a het and mother is a ghost.

Well that’s all for now. I hope everyone is doing well (I still have to scan the posts I missed while I was gone and catch up) and good luck to all those having/expecting litters recently and/or soon.

Take care, Milo

Welcome back, just remember, the honeymoon only ends if you let it!!!! Nothing saying you two can't be honeymooners forever>

good looking rainbows, IMO go with the lighter background....pops the colors better!!

Thanks for the pics, forum's been a bit slow today.

Thanks Dave, I like the way the lighter one came out too with those shots. I have found though that sometimes lighter backgrounds tend to mute the colors of some animals depending on their own color and background. Might very well have something to do with my camera or the fact that I always shoot indoors also. I have also noticed that I delete about 23 of every 25 shots I take. They just don't don't like to sit still and smile.

Love the leopard pic Milo and did the dancing lessons work out well for ya?

It worked out alright. Only screwed up minimally. I think it helped that I got a little liquored up before I had to do it.

I don't know if you follow the news but when we got back we found out that our Priest made national headlines for his naked jogging episode. I have a feeling that is what people will remember from the wedding not my two left feet.

Milo,
..It was a funny news story. We Protestants have an evil good time watching your clergy make the news. Catholic priest jokes get a lot of mileage. I do think law enforcement went overboard charging the priest with indecent exposure. 4:30 in the morning with no one around seems like a "clothing optional" situation to me. Though there is the issue of it being on school property to consider.

I didn't catch that news story Jeff and yes those Catholic guys are crazy. I agree also that if it was on school property than the proper actions need to be taken but on another note if it was 4:30 in the morning is always clothing optional right? How the hell did he get caught anyways?

Jeff,
I am actually not a Catholic either, but my wife is a member of that church. The Priest is actually a real nice guy, apperantly he just has a nudist streak in him. I agree that it is probably a bit overboard for a indecent exposure charge, I understand if convicted of that you have to register as a sex offender in this area. I can't help but thinking that if it was anyone but a priest it would have been written off as a person just making a statement or expressing themselves.
It is a strange thing to do but one thing the media likes to leave out is even though he was on the school track, the town of Frederick is a very small town and the track is in field right behind the church and the priest's house so it's not like he was around a residential area.
Still I can't imagine wanting to run naked. Imagine the road rash if you fell.

Jeff Clark Aug 23, 2007 12:51 PM

Milo,
...I hope the legal folks get in touch with reality and drop the indecent exposure charges. It would be a shame to have the priest pay dearly for what was at most a small lapse in judgement.
Jeff

In addition to road rash - I can not imagine the amount of soreness caused by lack of support......
