Gravid girl makes a break for it!

senorsnake Aug 22, 2007 04:51 PM

Last night I got home from work about midnight, and walked into the snake room to check temperatures before going to bed. When I went into the room all of our deli cups, snake bags, and some boxes were all over the floor.

At first I thought maybe I had missed some small earthquake or something (Ok, I know this is Chicago, but I'm from Fresno where we had mini earthquakes often enough that I wouldn't notice them, and it hasn't quite sunk in that there arent really any faults here..)

When I was putting the containers and such back into the shelf n the closet in the corner I found Larva curled up on our scale.... sneaky girl.

It'd be yours for not securing Larva's enclosure. Been there, done that!! Just last week Dottie, my hypo female BRB, managed to escape for a short little adventure as well. Totally my fault! Glad you found her, maybe she's stressed out about all the weight she's gained?

Ha, yeah it happens. Always nice when you find them right away though.

Shortly after we got this 9' girl we found her trying to make a MAJOR break for it. I really should have gone for the lock option on those boaphiles.

Yeah, the lock option is great, BUT, don't leave the key fully seated, that's how Dottie escaped, the brat turned the lock!!

You must have caught her while she was checking her weight after a brief aerobic exercise Gotta loose that extra baby weight to look good in her bikini one last time before summer is up.
