I picked these up in Daytona...

Gregory Aug 22, 2007 05:27 PM

A huge thanks to the guys over at Reptile Basics for these beautiful little hypos. I named them Mas y Menos (Plus and Minus in Spanish) because of the way their eyes look in and out of sunlight. The first two pics are of the female (Mas) and the third of course is Menos. I plan on taking better pics this weekend to show how much pink he has and how incredible her tail is. Let me know what you guys/girls think.

TnK is right...

I think Jim was thinking of the term "mas o menos", which translates to "more or less" in English, but that doesn't mean "mas y menos" translates the same way.

Mas (sorry, too lazy to find the character code for the accented a) can mean plus, more, most.

Menos, likewise, minus, less, least.

I thought it was a clever set of names! Great looking snakes, too.

Just got back from a missions trip with my daughter to Costa Rica...thought I knew some Spanish, but quickly realized I have a lot to learn...I think the next step is to do an immersion program.
Have a good one-
Jim
