Is an annual fecal exam adequate? Are there usually warning signs if my geckos contract parasites from the insects they eat or could they be there until the next check-up?

i only bring my geckos to the vet when i have a problem i cant handle myself. this has been 2 times in almost 4 years. both were this year. the only parasite to worry about from insects is worms, i believe, and there only in crickets. the signs will be decline in health for no apparent reason. dont worry to much, just be careful.
